While working in Colombia, founders Ed and Jess encountered a coffee culture and a brew that was unlike anything they had ever experienced. This inspired the idea for Cultura Coffee, a social impact coffee company that would leverage our connections to bring home remarkable specialty coffee and coffee culture to our home city, and positive change to our communities.

Jess Charwin
CO-FOUNDER
By day she's a marketing and communications star with a decade of experience -- by night she is a traveler, aspiring polyglot, and amateur cook/foodie. She found her interest (and success) in entrepreneurship early in life when she started a business as a henna artist in high school -- the proceeds of which went to paying for college.
Coffee of choice: Cortado, which is espresso cut with a bit of steamed milk.

CO-FOUNDER
Growing up in a Caribbean-Italian family, Ed always enjoyed coffee as an important social connector. As an adult, coffee lost this meaning and became simply fuel for productivity. Time to change that! From his past life as an underwater welder, to his career as a python developer, Ed has always found himself happiest as a craftsman. He loves to build things.
Coffee of choice: Unadulterated Colombian espresso.
